IRINA TALL NOVIKOVA

IRINA NOVIKOVA is a graphic artist. Drawing began to interest her from an early age, the first subjects for her were fantastic birds and animals. By her first education she is an art critic (State Academy of Slavic Cultures), by the second she is a graphic designer (MGTA). The main techniques that she uses are watercolor, ink, gouache, and acrylic. She loves experimenting and mixing different materials. She draws a lot on environmental topics. The first big series that she drew is the Red Book, dedicated to rare and endangered species of animals and birds. She makes illustrations, invents various creatures and stories for them, draws nature and portraits. She likes to do whole line drawings, composing the composition in her head first. She is inspired by baroque music and black and white films.
